Fujairah F3 is a Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) plant and the largest independent thermal power plant in the UAE, generating up to 2.4 gigawatts of electricity.
Located in Fujairah’s Qidfa area, between the existing Fujairah F1 and Fujairah F2 water and electricity plants, Fujairah F3 powers the equivalent of 380,000 households.
The Fujairah F3 plant incorporates advanced “JAC”-class gas turbine technology and utilises the most efficient combined cycle technology in the region.
Abu Dhabi National Energy Company (TAQA) and Mubadala own 60% of the plant, with Marubeni Corporation holding 40%. The power purchase agreement and shareholder agreement were signed between EWEC, TAQA, and Marubeni Corporation in February 2020.
