Noor Abu Dhabi

The world’s largest single-site solar power plant, Noor Abu Dhabi began commercial operations in April 2019. Located at Sweihan, Abu Dhabi, it covers an area of 8 kilometres and features 3.2 million solar panels. The plant produces approximately 1.2 gigawatts of power.

A combination of a brownfield and greenfield development delivering a power generating and seawater desalination plant with a net power capacity of 1.6 gigawatts and a net water capacity of 52.5 million gallons of water per day.

The Al Shuweihat Power and Water Complex is located in the Al Dhafra region, approximately 250 kilometers from Abu Dhabi City. It consists of three plants, two of which are combined power and water plants with the third being a power plant only.
